Tonya Ketterer
Director of Operations
With more than 25 years of management and leadership experience and more than six years with West Shore Construction, Tonya Ketterer brings a unique combination of hands-on construction knowledge, operational leadership, financial understanding, and customer-focused problem solving to her role as Director of Operations.
Her experience began in the field, with three years in commercial and industrial roofing, a year in underground construction working with 500- and 700-pound cable, and a year in residential renovation. That foundation gives her an understanding of construction from the ground up and a firsthand appreciation for the crews, challenges, and coordination required to successfully complete a project.
At West Shore Construction, Tonya has grown from managing project coordination, scheduling, permitting, ordering, receiving, and office operations to overseeing the broader systems and people that keep the company moving. She helps connect customers, sales, field crews, manufacturers, suppliers, inspectors, administrative staff, and management, ensuring that projects stay organized and problems are addressed before they become bigger issues.
Her leadership experience includes managing up to 30 employees on a shift and approximately 85 employees across a company operation. She has been instrumental in developing processes, training employees, building the administrative team, establishing accountability, and creating systems that support both efficiency and growth.
Tonya also brings a strong understanding of the financial side of business, with degrees in Business Management, Arts, and General Studies, along with a degree focused on accounting, financial reporting, and managerial accounting. Her hands-on experience with payroll, reconciliations, sales tracking, QuickBooks, ADP, financial records, budgets, and operating expenses allows her to look beyond simply getting a job completed and understand how operational decisions affect the company’s bottom line.
At the heart of her role is finding solutions. Whether addressing a customer concern, coordinating a complex project, supporting an employee, managing resources, or identifying an inefficient process, Tonya’s approach is to understand the situation, take ownership, communicate clearly, and find a practical solution that serves the customer while protecting the company.
She also oversees the company’s trucks and trailers, helping ensure the equipment and resources crews depend on remain maintained, reliable, and ready to work.
What Tonya brings to West Shore Construction is more than years of experience. It is the ability to see the business from the field, the office, the customer’s perspective, and the financial side of the operation—and bring those perspectives together to keep the company organized, accountable, efficient, and profitable.
Her focus is simple: good people, strong processes, clear communication, responsible decisions, and doing the job right.
